Ultimate Potential
Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad, required a comprehensive Pavement Condition Rating (PCR) evaluation of approximately 12.5 lakh sq.m of runways, taxiways, and aprons to comply with DGCA latest pavement performance reporting requirements.
Translink Infrastructure Consultants Pvt. Ltd. was appointed for PCR evaluation of airside pavements using available Heavy Weight Deflectometer (HWD) data and performance indicators.

The available HWD data had been recorded using equipment-specific proprietary software, making direct analysis and interpretation in other pavement evaluation environment is technically complex.
Additionally, the task had to be completed within a tight regulatory deadline, as PCR submission was required within the DGCA reporting cycle.
Translink’s pavement engineering team developed a custom data translation workflow to convert HWD datasets into compatible analytical formats while preserving calibration and sensor response accuracy.
Manual quality checks were used to validate the processed datasets. A dedicated analysis team worked in continuous coordination with airport operations to compile PCR values within the regulatory timeframe.
The assignment enabled timely DGCA-compliant PCR submission, helping the airport establish a clear baseline for pavement performance.
