Ultimate Potential

Elevated Corridor from Bholav to Shravan Junction, Gujarat

Project Overview

Translink provided pre-bid advisory for the proposed six-lane elevated corridor between Bholav and Shravan Junction on the Bharuch–Dahej Road in Gujarat. The corridor forms an important link for industrial and port-oriented traffic, where surface-level conditions create delays and limit corridor efficiency.

The assignment focused on interpreting the tender requirements, assessing the structural scope and guiding the bidder through the technical expectations for an elevated facility along this high-demand stretch.

Challenges

The bid required a precise understanding of how the proposed elevated structure would influence quantities, construction effort and overall project cost. The tender involved multiple structural components, each affecting material consumption, staging needs and pricing in different ways.

Estimating these elements with limited time and incomplete site clarity made it important to assess alternatives and understand where value adjustments could realistically be achieved. Balancing technical suitability with cost efficiency formed the core challenge of the advisory.

Solutions

Translink reviewed the tender documents to help the bidder understand the main cost elements and the implications of each structural choice. The advisory focused on how span arrangements, foundations and erection methods could influence quantities, construction effort and pricing.

Practical alternatives were assessed where relevant, giving the bidder a clear view of options that could control cost while staying within the tender requirements. The outcome was a straightforward technical basis for preparing a competitive bid.

Impact

The advisory enabled the bidder to approach the tender with clarity on structural scope, execution realities and cost sensitivities. A more informed bid strategy reduced uncertainties and improved overall alignment with the client’s expectations.

The process strengthened the bidder’s ability to respond to a complex elevated-corridor package with confidence and technical coherence.
