Ultimate Potential
The Hardoi–Gurusaiganj section in Uttar Pradesh was taken up for a Final Location Survey to support the proposed doubling of the existing railway line.
Translink was entrusted with defining a precise alignment and establishing the technical groundwork essential for subsequent engineering and approvals.

The corridor traverses densely settled stretches and active agricultural zones, making it necessary to reconcile alignment requirements with limited working space, multiple level crossings, and scattered utilities.
Resolving inconsistencies in existing survey records, and obtaining uninterrupted field access added further difficulty to establishing a reliable baseline for design.
Translink executed a structured survey programme combining fresh topographical mapping, and route reconnaissance to build an accurate representation of the corridor. Utility locations, access points, and physical constraints were mapped in detail, supported by systematic liaison with local stakeholders to ensure smooth field movement.
The findings were consolidated into a clear alignment proposal, supported by engineering notes and survey drawings that addressed the uncertainties encountered on site.
The refined FLS outputs enabled the client to move forward with confidence, backed by an alignment that was technically feasible, field-verified, and free from the ambiguities present at the outset.
