Ultimate Potential
A new major river bridge was proposed between Pardi and Atul stations on the Virar–Surat rail corridor to strengthen long-term connectivity.
Translink was appointed to prepare the detail design for the non-structural components, including track geometry, approach alignment planning, ancillary layouts, and associated corridor elements.

The bridge location lay close to an active station yard, requiring careful integration of alignment design with operational clearances, turnout positioning, and yard arrangements. Working in parallel with an existing old bridge also demanded accurate spatial planning to support transition and construction feasibility.
The tender required careful interpretation of technical provisions, with multiple site constraints—such as existing track interfaces, limited working windows, and scattered utilities—adding uncertainty to quantities and effort.
Translink developed precise geometric layouts, approach alignments, and corridor plans, supported by field-verified inputs and close coordination with railway teams.
The design was prepared to seamlessly interface with the structural design, ensuring that all non-structural elements aligned with site requirements.
The work provided a clear, coordinated design base that reduced planning uncertainties and enabled smoother decision-making for the client.
